But very few focus on transforming the systems that shape long-term opportunity.

Too often, African women and gender-diverse Africans are engaged as participants rather than leaders shaping the institutions that affect their lives.

The result is a cycle where support exists, but systems remain unchanged.

The Nia Initiative exists to shift that.
